If you have been the victim of sexual assault by penetration then you are entitled to seek an award from the Criminal Injures Compensation Authority.
Sexual assault by penetration (i.e. the insertion of a body part other than the penis or of an object such as vibrator or bottle into the anus or vagina against the consent of the other party, irrespective of gender) is regarded as a non-consensual sexual offence. As such it is a crime that is recognised by the CICA as being a crime of violence and so allows the victim to apply for an award of compensation.
If the body part inserted is the penis then this is regarded as rape.
If you have been the victim of sexual assault by penetration we can help you claim an award from the CICA. We have the knowledge and experience to help you recover the compensation you deserve.
